Kitty Cloud Kitty Cloud

Kitty Bass Cloud was born and brought up in Peterborough, New Hampshire.  After attending the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts,  she lived for many years in Boston and Woods Hole, Ma.  During that time she developed a passion for pastel.  Working in the colorist tradition she specialized in landscapes of New Hampshire, Cape Cod and Maine.  In 2013 she and her husband, Larry Cloud retired back to Peterborough.

Vice President

Jacqueline Smethurst is a nationally recognized thinker, speaker and leader in the field of education. She has consulted widely on matters of non-profit governance, planning and curriculum, and guided the successful establishment of independent and charter schools in California and Louisiana. For ten years, Jacqueline served as Head of School at Northfield Mount Hermon, where she led a comprehensive redesign of the school’s educational program and enhanced its financial well-being. Before that she was a teacher and administrator at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. More recently she served as Interim Head of Sage Hill School and Pegasus School.Together with her husband, David Drinkwater, Jacqueline founded Wingspan Partnerships, a non-profit dedicated to narrowing the education gap through partnerships between public and private schools. Wingspan has now collaborated to launch the National Network of Schools in Partnerships.

Joanne McGovernJoanne McGovern

Joanne McGovern is a Business Banker with People’s United Bank and has been with company for 17 years.  She has lived in New Ipswich for 25 years with her husband Roger.  She enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening and spending time with her 4 grandchildren.   She is as Secretary/Treasurer on the board of the Contoocook Housing Trust.

Marcy TrippMarcy Tripp

Born in Peterborough and from five generations of Francestown Bixbys, Marcy is  firmly woven into the historic and cultural fabric of the Monadnock region.  She has lived in Francestown, Hancock,  Jaffrey,  and Peterborough. as well as the west coast  She has an interest in music and art and is a painter with representation is galleries in Maryland. She was a Charter member and founder of the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the boards of the Folkway, Monadnock Community Hospital, Hawthorn College, Peterborough Savings Bank, and the Old Meeting House in Francestown.

Russell BastedoRussell Bastedo

Russell joins the  Board of Directors after serving on our Advisory Board. with a long career as museum and historical society director and curator at a number of organizations, including the Brooklyn Historical Society, the Stamford (CT) Historical Society, and the Connecticut River Museum. Most recently he worked as NH State Curator at the NH Division of Historical Resources. He has been extensively published. Current activities are serving as vice president of the  Wentworth Coolidge Commission (Portsmouth NH); curator at the Dublin Historical Society; and Incorporator of Historic Harrisville.

James received his BA from DePauw University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He has 36 years of world-wide consulting experience as co-founder and CEO of the Mac group, originator of its European, African and Asian businesses and subsequently  Chairman of Gemini Consulting, as well as 12 years in private consulting practice. Through this experience he is an expert in the management and transformation of multinational organisations and the strategic management of professional , financial , educational and charitable organisations. He has written numerous books and articles, was chair of the annual conference of the Strategic Management Society., and has served on 7 corporate boards of directors. Having semi-retired to Peterborough, NH, James is working with many non-profit organizations.  He is currently on the board of Mariposa Museum, and the Low Carbon Enterprise Foundation, on an advisory board for ConVal school, a member of the Peterborough Masterplan and Capital Improvements Program committees, and a Rotary and Chamber of Commerce member.

Bryanne Kingsbury_1Bryanne Kingsbury

Bry Kingsbury grew up in the Spofford, NH area and now resides with her husband, Bryan, in Harrsiville, NH.  Bry attended the University of San Francisco where she graduated with a degree in International Studies with an Economics Emphasis. After returning to the East Coast in 2009, living and working in Boston at a clinical software & research company, Bry and Bryan decided to settle in Harrisville amongst friends and family.  Currently an Insurance & Business Solutions Advisor with Clark-Mortenson Insurance; Bry is an alumni of the 2014 Leadership Monadnock program and has been honored as a 2014 Trendsetter by Monadnock Business Magazine.

Liz Lawler

Liz grew up in Dublin and now lives in Hancock with her wonderful dog, Maggie with whom she takes lots of hikes on the trails in this beautiful area.  She has taught at Antrim Elementary school for the past four years and loves seeing her students make discoveries about the world around them.

Andy McDonaldAndy MacDonald

Andrew  was drawn to the Board by his strong interests in the genealogy and history of the New England states, Scotland and England.  Andrew has been a member of the Monadnock community since 2000 and a resident of Peterborough since 2004 where he lives with his wife and daughters.  Professionally, Andrew was trained as a Physical Therapist.  His interests lead him to a Masters in Management at New England College and an administrative position at Monadnock Community Hospital in 2000.  He currently works with departments such as Radiology, Lab, Planning and the Bond Wellness Center.  Andrew proudly recalls his participation in the design and start-up of the Center and is a ten year member himself. Aside from his passion for genealogy, other hobbies include photography and wine tasting.

Heather McKernanHeather McKernan

Heather McKernan has been publisher of the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript for 18 years and has served on several nonprofit boards including the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication at Franklin Pierce University, The River Center, The Family Center and the Community Prevention Coalition.
