Community Conversations: Growing a Vibrant Economy While Keeping Our Region’s Identity
March 18, 2014 @ 7:00 pm
It’s the issue at the heart of many of our economic challenges: How do we grow a more vibrant economy while maintaining our small-town identity?
This question will be the topic of discussion at the latest Community Conversations forum Tuesday, March 18 at Bass Hall in downtown Peterborough at 7 p.m. Community Conversation is a monthly forum presented by the Monadnock Center for History and Culture and the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript.
We’ll turn to some of the area’s industry leaders in retirement, arts and business. How do they envision our economic evolution unfolding, and what do they see as some of our biggest strengths and our toughest obstacles? And ultimately, how do we achieve that economic growth without significantly undermining our small-town ideals? Those in attendance are encouraged to participate in the conversation, to pose questions and to offer their own perspectives.
Panelists include Bill James, CEO of RiverMead, Keri Wiederspahn, Executive Director of Sharon Arts, and Jack Burnett, Executive Director of the Greater Peterbroough Chamber of Commerce. The program is free and open to all.
