Holiday Lights

December 1 @ 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Holiday Lights December 1 in Peterborough

A night of magical lights awaits at our annual Holiday Lights event. Bring the family and welcome the holiday season with cookies and cocoa in Bass Hall, a visit from Santa, caroling and merriment along Grove Street, and a special Lantern Parade presented by Children and the Arts capped off by the lighting of the town Christmas tree in Putnam Park.

Spend the afternoon buying gifts in the gaily decorated downtown shops, then visit Bass Hall to warm up with homemade cookies and hot cocoa, enjoy some seasonal music and visit with your friends and neighbors. Be on the lookout for Santa who will visit Bass Hall and give candy canes to all the good boys and girls. Then find a spot along Grove Street to see the parade featuring hundreds of lanterns crafted by school children in Peterborough. The parade will start at Peterborough Elementary School, process along Main and Grove Streets before finishing at Putnam Park. In the park, enjoy caroling before the lighting of the tree at 6:30 p.m.

This is event is free and all are welcome!
