Hometown Holiday Weekend

December 4 @ 4:00 pm - December 6 @ 8:00 pm

Hometown Holiday Event

Celebrate the season with this year’s Hometown Holiday weekend! Downtown Peterborough will be aglow with lanterns, lights, and decorated store windows guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit. Shops will be staying open late and a holiday night market will feature local artisans and food. Putnam Park will be alight with a lantern art installation, Home Sweet Home. And Santa will be here for taking pictures in a special life size snow globe!

To avoid gathering large groups of people, this year’s events and activities are spread throughout downtown and will take place over three days. As with any community gathering during the pandemic, guests should wear a mask and practice social distancing. We thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe and healthy!

The Hometown Holiday event is a bit different this year. While the Christmas tree in Putnam Park will be lit up for your enjoyment, there will not be a tree lighting ceremony and we won’t be enjoying cookies and cocoa in Bass Hall. We hope that these traditions will return in 2021!
