Lunch and Learn: Treasures from the Back Room

Our April Lunch & Learn will take us on a treasure hunt when we discover six historical treasures from the Monadnock Center’s archives and museum collection.

Spanning three centuries, each object tells a story from our past. See a map, a humble bowl, and a spectacular wool cloak that tell us about life in the 18th century, a family portrait that is a masterpiece of American folk art, an object that saved the life of one of Peterborough’s Civil War soldiers and a photograph collection that records life in the early 20th century.

Lunch & Learn begins with a light meal of pinwheel wrap sandwiches, salad, and chips at noon. Following the meal, guests enjoy a special dessert with coffee or tea while listening to a lively illustrated talk.

Tickets are $18/ $15 for Monadnock Center members.
