Lunch and Learn: Unwin and Yates

May 16 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Unwin and Yates

Illustrator Nora Unwin (1907-1982) and writer Elizabeth Yates (1905-2001) met in London in the 1930s and began a friendship and artistic collaboration that spanned nearly 40 years and produced over 20 books. At this Lunch & Learn, we will look at The Doll Who Came Alive, Amos Fortune, Freeman and The Lighted Heart to explore Unwin and Yates’ artistic collaboration.

Lunch & Learn programs began with a light luncheon of wrap sandwiches, salad, and a sweet treat followed by a lively illustrated talk.

Guests may explore our current exhibition, Nora Unwin: A Retrospective before or after the program. Learn more about the exhibition HERE.

Lunch & Learn tickets are $18 ($15 for Monadnock Center members). Tickets must be purchased in advance and are not available at the door. Lunch & Learn often sells out. We encourage you to purchase your tickets early!

Lunch & Learn programs are held in Bass Hall. Ramp access is available at the rear of the building and the rear entrance opens directly into Bass Hall. The Monadnock Center’s restroom facilities are fully-accessible.
