MacDowell Downtown: Richard Montoya

Award-winning actor, playwright, and spoken-word artist Richard Montoya will read from two of his plays, show a couple of clips from his recent films, and talk about the origins and influence of Mexican-American music on rock and roll at The Monadnock Center for History and Culture on Friday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m. In town for his first MacDowell Colony residency, Montoya explains he’s hoping to return home to Los Angeles with a structure for his new musical, and complete drafts of two other plays he’s been working on. MacDowell Downtown is free and open to all. Richard Montoya
