Maker Saturday: Print Making

March 21, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for a Maker Saturday devoted to print making on Saturday, March 21! We will fill Bass Hall with a variety of projects and we’ll have plenty of room to spread out and explore!

We have materials and projects for young and old: from printing with vegetables and wooden shapes to rolling pin wrapping Printmakingpaper for our youngest creators, from scratch printing on Styrofoam, mono prints with plastic bags and plexiglass as well as dabbling in Pochoir (a stencil-based printing technique) and screen printing for those ready to dive in and give these methods a try. You are welcome to explore any and all of these wonderful techniques, but you might want to bring an apron or an old shirt to cover your clothes – this workshop day might get a little messy!

If you have the time to spend, you’ll be able to walk away with a finished project or two. If not, relax, take your time, come experiment and take away some started projects to finish at your leisure this winter! We will have plenty of paint, ink and enthusiasm!

These workshops have been a great way to gather families and friends together and discover the joy of creating, using your imagination and expanding your repertoire of things to do on some of these cold and snowy winter nights!

The program is open 10-3, Saturday March 21, 2015. No registration is required and the fee for the day is $5/person.

We hope to see you on the 21st!
