Music in Bass Hall presents Hilton Park

September 12 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Hilton Park plays Bass Hall March 30

Hilton Park is one of the best Roots acts in New England- an old time feel with fresh and original songs. They are the folks next door who happen to be virtuoso musicians with amazing vocal harmonies. Hilton Park may be the beginning of a huge new music trend.

Hilton Park is an Americana/Folk trio made up of a father, son and neighbor from a small town in Southern Maine who started playing music together for their own enjoyment, and within eight months found themselves being recognized by the New England Music Awards as one of the best Roots acts in New England.

Bruce Hilton played guitar and sang as a front man in bands from his high school days up through his 40’s, including in a band called The Digbees from 2004 to 2012. Bruce’s neighbor and keyboard player Gregg Pannier is his close musical partner.  Gregg, originally from the Chicago area, was a classically trained organist and piano virtuoso. Bruce’s youngest son, Conor, rounds out the trio on vocals.  With music around him his whole life, he displayed an affinity for drums and guitar at an early age and fell in love with vocal harmony in high school.

In 2013, the three came together to form the Hilton Park Band.  “Hilton Park is creating a whole new genre for current music. They have reinvented acoustic,” said the Boston Examiner in 2015. Along with their varied instrumentation (guitars, piano, mandolin, dulcimer, cello, flute, bouzouki), stylish and confident 3-part vocal harmonies fill the repertoire, combining the ‘blood harmony’ only heard in family acts (from the Everly Brothers to the Avett Brothers) with a melodic skill often compared to Crosby, Stills and Nash.

The Hilton Park sound is authentic and endearingly classic, with enough modern grit to captivate today’s audience. Every song tells a story, and there’s a story behind every song. Click here to listen to their song Strings
