Tartan DayAn afternoon of Scottish music, featuring members of the Strathspey and Reel Society of New Hampshire.  SRSNH was founded in 1988 to encourage the learning and preservation of traditional Scottish music. Though based in Concord, NH, the Society draws membership of over 100 people from throughout central New England. Their repertoire includes many of the standard Scottish fiddle tunes, but also tunes that are more obscure, or in some cases, recently composed in the Scottish tradition.  For this concert, an orchestra of about 20 members will perform on fiddles, flutes, accordions, and various stringed instruments.

This concert also provides a celebration of Tartan Day,  a holiday for Scottish Americans celebrating their contributions to America.
