Peterborough in 1917 Walking Tour

June 24 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Take a walk through downtown Peterborough and learn how it has changed since 1917. The walking tour begins at the Monadnock Center, built in 1917, and examines the ways the Historical Building and the Town House shaped the town’s center in the early 20th century. Throughout the tour we will identify the sites related to the World War I home front and discuss the ways the community supported the war effort.

This program complements our new exhibit, 1917: Looking Back 100 Years. Visit the exhibit after the walk and learn more about life in the region a century ago. (Museum admission: $3/ free for members, children under 12)

The walking tour is free and will be held rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle!
