The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript’s 35 Annual Maple Syrup Contest

bucketsCome sample and cast your vote for this year’s best maple syrup! The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript’s 35th annual Maple Syrup Contest is happening Saturday, April 11 in Peterborough’s Monadnock Center for History and Culture. Join the public and our panel of judges to award the top two syrups and a people’s choice award. This year Kin Schilling, president and founder of Cornucopia Project, a gardening project that teaches students about the benefits of locally grown produce, along side Roger Swain, gardener extraordinaire and TV show host; and Willard Williams, an independent bookstore owner will judge the contest. At 1:00 p.m.everyone is welcome to attend the public sampling and judging. The event will last about one hour. For more information or questions call 924-7172 extension 221.
