The New Economy – A Macro Perspective

On Tutraynoresday, July 28th, John Traynor, of People’s United Wealth Management, will present a talk entitled The New England Renaissance which will provide a macro-level overview of the state of the economy, and offer some enlightening information that will allow for Monadnock region businesses to develop a better understanding of what to expect in our economy and how to successfully navigate in the current environment. After a looking at the US Economy Traynor will examine what’s going on in New Hampshire, with a special emphasis on capital markets and the the renaissance in manufacturing. At his last presentation John said, “Manufacturing is particularly strong in this country, due to productivity gains and because costs aren’t going up as much here as in emerging countries such as China.”

Traynor joined People’s in 2011 as a Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. He directs the overall investment process and has ultimate responsibility for the work of the various Investment Committees. He also serves as the Chief spokesman for the People’s United Wealth Management investment outlook through regular strategy briefings. He regularly appears on the Nightly Business Report and Fox Business News, as well as being quoted in the NY Times and Wall Street Journal.

This program is being presented by the Peterborough Economic Development Authority, and is being held in Bass Hall at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture in Peterborough, NH.
