March 19 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Women of Peterborough

Women of Peterborough

Peterborough Woman’s Club celebrates Women’s History Month with a talk on women’s history in Peterborough. Peterborough’s women have shaped our community over the last 250 years. Explore the ways women have made their mark in town at a talk presented by Michelle Stahl, the Monadnock Center for History and Culture’s executive director. This illustrated presentation includes a variety of women from the mill girls who worked in the early 19th century textile mills to the affluent and educated women who transformed Peterborough in the early 20th century.

The meeting begins with refreshments with the presentation to follow.

This program is free and open to the public but registration is required by March 15. Click HERE to register.

Cost: A suggested donation of $10pp goes towards the three Peterborough Woman’s Club Scholarships.

The Monadnock Center is pleased to host this Peterborough Woman’s Club program. For more information, visit the club’s website HERE.

Ramp access is available at the rear of the building. The rear door opens directly into Bass Hall where the program will be held. The Monadnock Center’s restrooms are fully accessible and are located adjacent to the Bass Hall.
