Peterborough Pop Up Museum
From August through October historic images will be ‘popping up’ throughout downtown Peterborough! Walk through town and discover a vintage photograph placed in its historic location. In this exhibit, explore the ways Peterborough has changed (and stayed the same!) and see the evolution of the community and its architecture through imagery from 50, 100 and even 150 years ago.
The Monadnock Center is pleased to have collaborated with the Peterborough Heritage Commission to create the Peterborough Pop Up Museum. The Pop Up Museum is part of the year-long series of events celebrating the Centennial of the Peterborough Town House and the Historical Building, home of the Monadnock Center. Both buildings were designed by architect Benjamin Russell and constructed in tandem during 1917-1918. Additional events celebrating the Centennial are planned through the end of 2018.
