We are re-opening July 8!

The Monadnock Center is re-opening on July 8! The center’s regular open hours are Wed-Sat, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Our re-opening plan

During these uncertain times, we will operate in new ways to protect the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff. Our re-opening plan is based on requirements and best practices from the State of NH and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

While we hope these changes will only be temporary, we think these modifications will enable us to continue to be a valuable resource to the community. If you have any questions or concerns, we want to hear from you! Please email our executive director with your questions or comments at director@nullMonadnockCenter.org.

Museum

Museum admission will be free to all guests through October 31, 2020.  We will limit the number of guests in the museum rooms to 8 people at a time. We will not have a special exhibit this summer but our permanent exhibit rooms will be open for all to enjoy.

Programs

We will have a variety of outdoor programs for the summer and fall. We hope you will join us for a walking tour, living history demonstration or our annual Fairy House Day! The Virtual Monadnock Center will continue with new content posted to this website, FacebookInstagram, and YouTube channel.

Archives

Archives research is now by appointment only. Please contact us if you would like to do research.

Bass Hall Rentals

We will not be booking Bass Hall rentals through August 31.

Cleaning

To ensure a safe place for visitors, volunteers, and staff, all high-touch surfaces (door knobs, counter tops, bathroom fixtures, etc.) will be frequently sanitized throughout the day. We have doubled our regular cleaning schedule to keep the building clean and safe. We will continue to monitor CDC best practices and will modify and adjust as new recommendations are made by the CDC.

Visitor Code of Conduct

The Monadnock Center requires all visitors to wear a face mask and to respect social distancing when visiting our building or participating in one of our programs. Children under the age of 3 are not required to wear a face mask.

We thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe and healthy!
